My Contributions
UI Assets & Implementations

I was brought in quite late to the project. One of my former lecturers asked me to help this final project for a group nearing the end of their time in uni. The UI was something they have not focused on and I was tasked with fixing and adding UI assets to the game before the deadline.

When I started, the only reference I had was the title logo and the level it self, it took me quite a while to figure out a style that fits.

At first I tried a futuristic neon-like aesthetic for the UI, but was suggested to try street-art/graffiti style for the UI elements.

At the end we decided not to pursue this style as it add too many noise to the UI for an already busy looking game.

The final in-game UI is simplified, as the scene multiplies, so does the UI elements, so it was better to keep them simple and legible in smaller form as with each alternate universe created, the more things clutter the screen.

For the difficulty options, I created custom retrowave inspired word art to represent each difficulty according to the intensity of the gameplay

The menus for the game are created to fit the rest of the game aesthetics.

I also created a Blue Screen that appears when the player creates an alternative time line (to hide the lag when duplicating such a large scene in Unity). To accompany this, I also created a loading screen that looks like a windows console command.
